Binoculars UK
Yea ;) I managed to find the perfect pair of binoculars eventually at Digital hut
I was searching for Binoculars UK and seemed to do the trick as I was getting sick of all the American Search results popping up.
I was unsure which ones were best but good old Nigel helped out (again, thanks Nigel!!) and I got a great saving on a cheap pair of tasco binoculars. I wanted some Night Vision binoculars but decided against it as I was going to use them for was bird watching.
I love them!!
Cant wait to get out and use them this weekend!!! Next Day Deliver was bang on time.

Camping Hammocks Again
oooooooooo it was cold last night.
Very cold indeed.
great for me i had my camping hammock
I packed up and left the desk at about 4.30pm yesterday and headed out to North Devon. The surf was pretty blown out as to be expected and the rain was coming in.
Realizing there was no chance of a good wave I headed into the woods to go for a walk and took my rucky just in case I found a new place.
I did - yey, I love finding new wild camping spots armed with my camping hammock
A great little spot, nesting on the side of a River bank with no light pollution, car sounds or the public.
I set up my hammock and put all my gear inside to keep it nice and dry whilst I went of to find some fire wood.
3o mins later, sitting under a spare tarp, kelly kettle boosting my Tea and some tasty home made "slop" made form beef casserole and rice.
Heaven.
The night drew in pretty quickly so I put some stones on the fire to make some bed warmers and popped them n to my camping hammock. The wind was howling and the rain was chucking it down so I headed for bed and drifted to sleep nice and warm, dry and swaying gently in the breeze.
Anyhow in typical "me" style I left my darn camera at home but do plan to go back and take some pics. Promise!!

The ultimate nights sleep in a camping hammock
ok guys ive been camping in hammocks for over 10 years, from net and tarp, to home made jungle hammocks and even a hennessy dupe.
Ive dangled over rivers, mountain edges, rain forests and deserts (dont ask!!)
I am putting together a free short and concise guide to the ultimate night sleep in a camping hammock and would value some others people tips and techniques to make it more varied.
I am looking for any post tips or ideas that you either have learnt, want to learn or have experienced using camping hammocks.
Look forward to reading your answers in the comments section

My Camping Hammock AlmostGot Me FIRED
Wow is all I can say, what was supposed to be a 2 night first camp of the SPRING 08, turned out to be a little longer. This weekend was absolutely snotty weather and windy as hell, but seemed worth a camping trip just to celebrate the ending of Winter.
I packed up on Friday and headed in to the kayak down the River Exe, I figured the sea would be far to risky so I bottled out and headed down River.
Fast floods and rising waters made finding camp spots difficult. Of course I could not just stay on the side of the river bank in my pitch tent, and I was super eager to use my Camping Hammock up in the trees to enjoy a warm and most of all dry nights.
Setting up the hammock was an absolute breeze and I had a warm dry cocoon to relax in as the fire got going.
Without a doubt I owe all my thanks to the
Camping Hammock

Any how I stayed on the river for nights in all catching some fish, picking some food and generally living free.

Why Do I Love Camping Hammocks
Camping Hammocks
Im always outdoors, thats fact. People often ask me why I choose to use a camping hammock.

There are several main reasons for this and they are as follows.
- They are far more comfortable then a standard Pitch Tent
- They are lighter and often smaller to pack then a standard tent
- Setting up a camping hammock takes SECONDS
- Sleeping in hammocks has saved my bacon, when I was unable to pitch a ground tent.
- Hammocks are specialist equipment, although a little more comes with fantastic durability guarantee’s. However mine has been going strong for over 4 years now so looking great!
- I can modify my hammock for each specifically for each camping trip.
- If its good enough for Ray Meres then its good enough for me.

What A Divine Place To Stay

Ok ive decided to boost today with a couple of posts. Something to remove the "urban" bitterness out of the soul of this blog straightaway.
This was taken during a kayaking trip down the River Exe near Tiverton Devon.
Nothing gives me more satisfaction then being able to pitch a comfy bed on the side of a river bank on otherwise inhospitable terrain.

Urban Camping
Certainly not my ideal first post but a good one t kick off with.
Talking on urban camping - this just reiterates how fantastic these hammocks really are.
"Like most passengers, Ruth and Dietmar, a young German tourist couple, slept in hammocks they had brought and fastened to posts, railings or ceilings."
This makes me remember similar time forced to find urban posts to strap on to as opposed to trees.
